hi there, i’m alex!

this is my passion project – writing, traveling, sharing pictures & stories about places & people. 

we all collect things when we travel: postcards, t-shirts, baseball caps magnets. souvenirs of a moment in time. my blog is a digital keepsake of my most treasured memories, and i hope it can be a resource as you look to travel the world. 

five quick facts about me:

• you’ll often find me with my nose in a book. many historical fiction novels  & biographies fill my shelves.  

• i’m a bit of a weekend warrior — rarely staying put and always on the go.

• big believer in the power of positive thinking!

• mcdonald’s fries are always a must.

• proud west virginia university alum who will cheer on the mountaineers any given saturday until my lungs give out.

this little corner of the internet is my creative outlet & i’m excited you’ve chosen to follow along. my blog posts tend to be on the long side but only because i’ve put so much research & thought in to help guide future trips. ideally, you can plan a whole adventure using these guides.
